Epic Mickey

mickey is more like three dimentional than two dimention. mickey is fighting an ink monster. he had the paint brush that he messed around with. the graphic is different. mickey looks more like kind of a touble maker. the colors are more like poped out. its more magical. it has magic in it. mickey enetrs a new world that he had never seen before. full of colors. it looks like a really good game.

Strange Days on Planet Earth

Part 4: over 70% of earths surface is coverd by water. 3% of earths water is fresh water/ drinking water. little crabs in the coast can die when the water get only 2 degrees warmer. if they die it can efect the ecosystem. as earth gets warmer some animals will die and some will not. kids that have azma are noticing that its increasing. biggest lake in africa dryed out and now there is nothing left of the lake. what wa scausing the sea fans to die out was the same desiese they found in the dust. dust has been blowing over the atlantic for a millenium, and we are noticing problems now.

Part 5: Predetors some animals can die because of floods because the can get stuck on the tops of the trees that are out of water with no food. wolves may be a large inpact in the ecosisytem. by killing ilk the wolves may be changing the land scape. because the wolves were killed and there worent any left, most species of animals were gone. but noe that there are some wolves back, the species are back also.

Part 6: follow the water. at least 20 frog species have vanished all throughout the world. rain and wind can spread chemicals to frog habitats and damage them. frogs from clean water are healthy and frogs that are from water with atrecine are not very healthy. arecine can harm animals. beluga whales can be in danger. dozens of chemicals have been found in the body of the beluga whales. water is become toxic because of the fertilizer thats in the water called atrizine. if the toxic affects any animal it will affect US. some plants have natural abilities to prevent toxins. many of the chemicals that farmers use can get eroded to the rivers. farmers are starting to plant more trees to prevent the chemicals from getting to the reefs.

termites are new comers. they live and eat most of the houses in New Orleans. although they are small insects they cause a lot of damage.

part 2: diseases

a new source of erosion can be bad for the island. these erosions will take platns and leave it at the delta at the botoom of the hill. these plants carry seeds that can grow and take over the area. 2/3 of land mammals may become extinct.

Part 3: climate change

in the americas, if the ralationships that are thousands of years old, man kind will be no more. people dont care about the climate change and only care about them selfves and their family. people think that they cant do any thing just because they think they cant do any thing. if those people sit back and say they cant do any thing, nothing is going to change.

Game Disign Compatition

Jasmine A., Rubi V. and I are going to be in the Game Disign Compatition to represent our school and to make a game. Our game idea for this game is to save the polar bears. We made this idea because of global warming the bears are going to have no where to live. This is why we want to do our game about polar bears. So we show why we need to stop global warming. Global warming is melting the ice all over the Earth. Especially the North and South Pole, were the polar bears live. If all the ice melts, they will either die or have to change their way of living and hunting. We want to how people that we are the ones that are killing the the polar bears.

CORAL REEF ADVENTURE

Our coral reefs are in danger and are dieing because of us humans. Coral reefs are made of little animals and plants. They can be found in in the South Pacific. corals can be used for many things, such as child birth, chemical compound have been used for pain and can help up to 8 patients to help them live longer, and doctors can use them for our bones to wend. These corals are in deep danger because of us. We humans are over fishing which means the coral will die. Coral needs fish so the can live, the fish helps them to stay alive. Unfortunately, sense we are over fishing the corals don't have as many fishes to help them and so they start dieing. their not only dieing because of over fishing. Their also dieing because of warmer water. The water that the coral lives in is getting warmer because of global warming. Global warming is causing the ocean water to get warmer because the atmosphere is attracting more sun than usual which makes the atmosphere hotter and the ocean water. The water is getting too hot and its killing the coral reefs. The water got 2 degrees warmer. Down in the ocean the only thing you see that is a non-living thing is rocks and stone. We can encourager people a change in sea life and coral reefs.

Ideas to prevent coral reefs from dieing:

1. Stop pollution
2. Less fishing
3. Stop global warming
4. Use less CO2 releasing things
5. Less car usage

Wile we were watching a short video of Planet Earth: The Future, I was writing some notes. Most of the notes are that we need to save some humanity or we are going to be no more. Also most animals are going extinct because of us humans and also because of poachers. We are also pushing amphibians to extinction because of the things we humans are doing. We have cut more than half of our forests for our needs and that is damaging our oxygen because trees give us oxygen and we need oxygen in order to live. Also frogs are going extinct in central America because we are taking their homes away. Because of all the CO2 in our atmosphere, its making the earth hotter causing the ice in the North Pole and the South Pole to melt. If the ice keeps melting polar bears are in deep trouble and will have to change their habitats and the way they live and eat. All of the things we are doing and using are causing the earth to change. But earth is not the only thing that is exhilarating but also the extinctions. So the extinctions don't exhilarate there are guards around the forests guarding the animals of extinction. In the united states there are only 30 Amur Leopards that exists. The leopards, elephants and tigers are getting attention so they wont get extinct. And the last thing from my notes is that scientists are getting DNA from the animals and freezing it so it can still be alive and if the certain animal is almost extinct they can get the DNA and out it in the animal so it can have off springs.

1.) What are you thoughts about the documentary?

My thoughts about the documentary are that it was a really good presentation because he ave us more than enough reasons of why we should care more about our Earth. When I first started to watch this movie it was really boring but the more I watched the more it got me thinking that we are slowly destroying our Earth. I think this presentation was really interesting.

2.) What do you think about global warming?

What I think about global warming is that its not a very good thing to have on our Earth. I think that we human beings caused global warming and that we are going to make man kind extinct in a few years.

3.) How does the information you heard make you feel?

The information I heard makes me feel like were killing ourselves and we will keep killing ourselves if we don't stop global warming. The information I just heard makes me feel like I'm not going to live for long if we keep polluting our only home.

What we human beings can do to prevent ultimate destruction is to try to use cars, buses, motorcycles, etc. to stop heating our atmosphere and melting the ice in the North and South Pole. DAYS IN TECHNOLOGY

my classes here in technology were fun but being in the computer is not being on the games. its doing your work. so here are some things i have learned here in class. what i have learned in this class is how to make a game in the computer on my own and make what ever i want it to be. i also learned how to use the flash files. when i get on the computer in class i just want to get on a flash file and make my own thing in the flash. i love this class and i hope we also have it next year and that we make a more better things.

Earth Day Words

Global Warming-
Three important facts about Global Warming are that Global Warming is not natural. Global Warming and the ozone hole are two different problems. The last fact is that the atmosphere has 40% more carbon dioxide (co2) than before the Industrial Revolution. The issues can effect the earth and humans by putting too much co2 in our atmosphere. The atmosphere can only take a certain amount of co2 and the more we put in the atmosphere the less time humans will live. It important to be educated about these topics because if we don't take action now we will not live very long. If we do not take action we will go extinct.

Climate Control-
three important facts about climate control are that it was 84o f Thursday which means the annual battle over control of the thermostat began almost a month earlier than usual. Working in Flash

What is hard for me are the steps of all the demos. The steps are a little hard for me because there is a lot of steps and I don't even know if I remember all of theme. When I am learning something one day and the next day i learn something else, that just confuses me a lot because I skip this step, I don't do this step right, or I just don't know what to do in this step. And when I work on multiple things I do this thing wrong and I mix that thing up with this thing and I get frustrated when that happens. What we can do to be more comfortable in class while working in flash is learn something one day then practice it for like 1-2 days then learn something else and do the same thing with that. Some people, like me, just learn something and if its confusing we need to practice it and then learn something new. Its important to remember the coding process in flash because if you don't, what ever you are working in I can guarantee that it will come out messed up. No lie. Some people don't listen in class and they miss instructions so when they try to do the flash it turns out to be wrong and messed up. What I will do to make sure I have all the training I need to become a flash expert is to listen when Ms. miller is giving instructions and follow along with her when we are doing something in flash. If I do these two simple steps, I will become a flash expert. If and when I complete this I will work in flash when I need to in the futre. in this class there are so many distractions that keep me from laerning to do all the steps from the flash. if it was a much more muchure group we will probably get every thing done on time and we would not stop every 5 minutes and not do anything. what can be done to this problem is reward the person that is the quitest at the end of the day or something else. some people are just so inmitchure and throw things arround, yell across the room and they just act like if they are in pre-k. i feel that the video tutorials are helpful because they explain the steps really clearly and i can acually understand what we are doing and how to do it.

My Team Prosses

in my team my team members have been doing really well. the boy whnted to stuff. especially armando. armando wanted to do the instructions page. my team mates have been being good with each other as well. sort of. exept melissa was sort of kind of like fighting with me because juan was in gmail chating with friend. in my group there is still a few isues. one isue is that the boys are still wondering off to other groups and distracting the other members in other groups. oh my gosh!!!!!!!!! i am so in preast with my team because for the first time my team was working so hard i might even give them a little present to each and every one of my team members. Drawing in Flash

in this project i did learn a new technique. i learned that you can do what ever you want in flash. you can animate things and people. you can also make things move the way you want it to. the subject in my game is about Cancer. I'm just going to tell you a little about the game. so... the game is about you in front of a caner hospital and getting people to donate money for people with cancer. you click on the person and ask if they want to donate money. if they say no they will walk away and another person comes by. if they say yes the give you the money they want to donate and then they leave. that's all i can tell you for now. you have to play the game to know more. well... what i learned sense i last wrote a blog entry is how to draw in flash. i really didn't know what flash was when i first got here. but now i know almost exactly what it is. flash is really fun because we get to draw in the computer. all i can say how i feel about flash is that it is........... AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

Snow

OMG!!!!!!!!!!! Its snowing out side right now!!!!!!! I am so exited. I have been dreaming about this my whole life. MAN!!!!!!!! I wish it would be like this the whole day. So we can get out of here early and play in the snow. Or that it was like this in the morning so we wouldn't have came to school in the first place. How i feel about it is well... EXITED!!!!!!!!!!! I've never seen it snow here in my life. Right now i'm just praying that we go out side. If we do I hope we have a snow fight. It will be so AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!! One day I was with my dad and snowed here. To bad I didn't get to be there or else I would have started a snow fight with my big brother and win. But before we get out side we would make a bet and I would have won all that money from my brother. From what I am experiencing right now is so awesome. Well the snow stoped and I am praying that it will come back and that it will keep coming down the whole day. I'm also preying that we can go out side the whole period and play in the snow. Snow is so cool, awesome, and super cold. I love snow and I wish it would be like this every winter, every day, all day. (SNOW ROCKS!!!!! AND ITS AWESOME.)

My Team Mates and the Paper Prototype

How I feel about working with my team mates is a pain in the butt to me. Sometimes I just wish I can be in another group so could get a way better grade than the one I got for my team. What it was like to re-present my paper prototype is depressing because my first paper prototype was better than my second paper prototype.I am sill confused about having more time to add math to my game because I was absent for two days. Some of my frustrations are that Armando and Juan were always walking around and not listening to me. And also Melissa was always in the computer doing stuff she wasn't. And David was not actually doing nothing so I was like the only one that did most of the paper prototype. That is what frustrated me the most. Some of my triumphant moments were when my team members weren't listening and that I had to do most of the time. This is how I feel, act, and do with my team members.

My Roles

the roles i got were secretary, graphic designer, and team leader. I'm good at being the secretary because I'm a good writer, but when i write slow. I'm good at being the graphic designer because i am a good designer of things. any kind of things. and lastly, I'm good at being the team leader because I'm a good leader at every thing. but what i hate about me being the leader is that I'm too bossy but i get every one to work. just ask Melissa, Armando, Juan, and David. the truth is that we did not have any disagreements. what i most look forward to as a we create the game is that i want the team to work together and not go around asnd talk to friends or disturbing the others. so i really want to be togrether and work on the game as a team. the insperation on our game were the poeple with cancer and people that died from cancer. this was the inpeation to me because i feel really bad for these poeple with cancer because most of these poeple are kids my age or younger. i had a cusin that died becaause of cancer.

Paper Prototype

What I thought about the paper prototype section is that I liked it because I got to draw and write the whole thing but with help of my team members, of course. I had a little bit of fun because I had to come up with practically the whole game. I found this very difficult because I really did not have the image of the screen at the top of my head, so we had to do a little bit of thinking. I do understand the the importance of the paper prototype because with out it we will wast time on figuring out the image of the screen and it will probably take for ever. Working as a team for the first time was a little painful at the beginning because no one would do anything but after I became the team leader it was better. As if there were a billion dollar prize for every one that participated in the paper prototype. Some things I like about the team are that we get along and the boys (Armando and Juan) make this a little fun because they make us laugh most of the time. But the things I hate are that the boys spend most of the time with other groups and interrupting the other groups. Also Melissa is just going to iGoogle and playing the games she haves. I think that things will progress sometimes well sometimes not so well, but I will be in charred of that. But it all depends.

Awesome Globaloria Blog

what are my thoughts about this class? well my thoughts about this class are that i really like this class because we get to use the computers, and we have an awesome teacher. even if i don't know her that much, because I'm new, i still think she is awesome. do i enjoy this class, and why? of course!!!!!!! i really enjoy this class because its fun. as in matter of fact i love this class. its just so cool and awesome i want to come every day all day. Mini game

To me the mini game was not hard because I really did not work on it. I really did not know what we were doing or why we were doing this because I was new and did not know any thing of what we were doing. But at the end I found out that we were doing this to make our own game. And that's were all the relaxing and doing nothing was over. I had to start doing a mini game with Meridith on the phone. To me the best part of this topic was..... nothing. The thing I hate about this topic is that it was so complicated for me lisening to Meridith becase she was going so fast and everyone was making a lot of noise.
